AvMed's Spirit of Giving

AvMed is extremely proud of its not-for-profit history and strong Florida roots to the community. We believe in giving back, and are involved with a variety of outreach programs, including American Heart Association and Habitat for Humanity, among several others.

As members of Florida’s business community, AvMed Health Plans, along with our parent company SantaFe HealthCare, Inc. and its other affiliates, are committed to supporting the communities we serve through charitable contributions and sponsorships. We focus the majority of our contributions on health-related causes.

Our charitable involvement is aligned with corporate business goals that support our mission by positively impacting the health of a community; contributing to general quality of life issues in a community such as education and economic development; and/or improving business relationships with clients and providers.

Recipients must be Florida-based 501 (C) (3) and benefit one of the communities where a SantaFe HealthCare, Inc. affiliate currently operates. AvMed will consider requests for disease-specific events and walks, health fairs and health-related outreach activities, foundation support, recognition, fundraising events, educational and scholarship support.
