Authorizations and Referrals

Effective June 15, AvMed is no longer waiving primary care-to-specialist referrals for Members enrolled in a Small Group Focus health plan. Moving forward, Members will need to resume obtaining a referral from their primary care physician for specialty services. Please visit your AvMed Member Portal for more information.
